Answers to Your QuestionsWhat can you do to improve the appearance of my smile? We offer many options for smile enhancement, but porcelain veneers remain the most popular option next to teeth whitening. To determine the best cosmetic procedures for you, Dr. Legg needs to talk with you about what you want your smile to look like. After a comprehensive exam, he can create a customized treatment plan for your smile makeover. My old dental work is so obvious! Can you help?Today, tooth-colored restorations are available for virtually every application, from fillings to crowns to prosthetics. If you want Dr. Legg to replace your amalgam (metal) fillings, metal crowns, or the metal clasps on your bridge, he'll use aesthetic materials to give you natural-looking results that will last for years. I have migraines, and my jaw pops when I open or close my mouth. What's going on?You may suffer from temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, or TMD, a condition in which the jaw joints don't function properly. Dr. Legg is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, where he studied neuromuscular dentistry. He currently instructs dentists from around the world in this discipline. Dr. Legg will assess the elements of your chewing system, determine if there's a problem, and provide non-surgical therapy to correct the issue. I have dental insurance, but it won't cover my porcelain veneers. Do you offer financing or payment plans? We work with CareCredit, a trusted name in patient financing. For more information, call our office or visit their website. What is LVI, and what benefits does an LVI dentist bring to his patients? The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies is the world's premier graduate dental training center. It provides a comprehensive and intensive program to train dentists in advanced cosmetic dentistry. LVI Preferred Dentists undergo live, hands-on training that goes beyond dental school and features the newest materials, products, and techniques. LVI is a learning center unlike any other, with a pure focus on creating beautiful LVI Smiles. Dr. Legg graduated from LVI, has his LVI Mastership, and currently instructs at this institution. He studied neuromuscular dentistry there, which allows him to treat TMJ dysfunction without surgery. Dr. Legg also understands the importance of proper occlusion and jaw alignment to promote comfortable function and protect dentition. In addition, our entire team has taken classes at LVI to better serve our patients in all areas of our dental practice. Where are you located?Click here for a map, hours, and contact information. I hate to admit it, but dental treatments give me the heebie jeebies! Is there any way for me to get over my anxiety?Whether your dental anxiety is mild or debilitating, Dr. Legg understands and offers solutions. In addition to a comfortable, inviting office and a compassionate team, we use nitrous oxide and oral sedation to help alleviate dental anxiety. Don't let this condition keep you from achieving the beautiful, healthy smile you deserve. We can help. What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety? We follow strict guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and OSHA. Our practices include sterilizing reusable instruments in an autoclave, then sealing them for the next use; disinfecting treatment rooms between patient visits; and using disposable products when possible. We always wear disposable gloves during exams and treatment, for your safety. Is teeth whitening safe?Absolutely. We bet you didn't know that teeth whitening, in some form, has been around since the 1700s. Modern whitening uses safe and effective bleaching gel to melt away stains and discoloration. Choose from Zoom! Whitening in our office or convenient take-home teeth-whitening kits. How do I know if I have sleep apnea? If you snore habitually, sleep restlessly, gasp for air at night, or feel drowsy or fatigued in the daytime you may have sleep apnea. You can take this simple test to determine your level of likelihood, then call to schedule a consultation with Dr. Legg. He offers non-surgical (and non-CPAP!) therapy to alleviate this condition and restore healthy breathing and restful slumber. |
